Linebacker U

We actually can't claim the name "Linebacker U", but at last count, we had 7 lb's earning a check on Sunday's......not too shabby.

Anyway, I went over some of our linebacking situation for the coming year in this post, so I'll keep this one short.

All of our starting LB's are returning for 2008.
Dannell Ellerbe - SR - 11 starts in 2007. The leader of the 2008 Defense

Rennie Curran - Soph - With this talented group, becoming a starter as a true freshman says it all

Akeem Dent - RSoph - Passed Brandon Miller for the starting Sam slot in 2007.

Key backups
Marcus Washington - SR - Had 6 starts in 2007.
Darius Dewberry - JR - 5 starts in 2007
Daryl Gamble - RSoph - Played in 13 games in 2007
Akeem Hebron - RSoph - Super talent returns after the 1 year suspension.
Charles White - RFr - Impressed the coaching staff last fall while redshirting.

Nick Williams

No way any of those guys see the field this year.

8 solid linebackers to fight for pt this year. It's going to be a helluva spring.
